Record Description :  The lost time claim file contains information pertaining to a claimant’s claim for workers’ compensation benefits, such as, but not limited to: medical records, requests for treatment, requests for payment of compensation, compensation payment records, and orders issued by BWC or the Industrial Commission. A lost time claim is a claim in which compensation benefits have been paid, such as, but not limited to: temporary total disability compensation, salary continuation, permanent partial disability compensation, or permanent total disability compensation. The statute of limitations for lost time claims is as follows: •For claims with DOI prior to 8/25/06, the claim expires ten (10) years from the last medical bill, compensation payment, or date of death. •For claims with DOI on or after 8/25/06, the claim expires five (5) years from the last medical bill, compensation payment, or date of death.
